Drake Pintail at Marsh Lane.

Went down to Marsh Lane early on Sunday morning hoping to beat the showers that had been forecast.Got into the Car Park hide just before 8.00AM and had the place to myself.

I was hoping for a Yellow Wagtail in front of the hide but no luck.I had just about finished a look round and had not seen anything new when I spotted a Duck that I didn't ID straight away.It was a drake Pintail.A duck I've hardly seen before so I was chuffed to get one on my local patch.

Here are a few shots I managed but it stayed a fair way off and then went to sleep on the end of the far left hand island.Still pleased because these are the first shots I'd got of a Pintail.
