A couple of visits to Marsh Lane.

I went on my usual Sunday morning visit to Marsh Lane getting there pretty early to find it bright but extremely cold.I'm certain that this change in temperature is down to me because recently I sent off the the thermals to the manufacturer for their annual service,I've put the electric blanket back into the loft and I've ordered a new sun lounger. We will now get some very cool weather.

A Song Thrush was giving an early morning concert from the top of a tree in the old road.

A Little Grebe showed well from the causeway screen.

I spotted a nearby Common Buzzard from the River hide but as usual it flew off straight away and all I got was this shot.

A big surprise was spotting a Treecreeper along the stream line. Not a great shot but a first for me at Marsh lane.

On Monday morning I was shocked when the engineer booked to replace a leaking radiator valve arrived exactly on time at 8.00AM but this enabled me to pop over to Marsh Lane again with plenty of the morning left.

At the main gate by the cottages a Common Buzzard probably ashamed at always flying off when I try to take shots put on a bit of a display for me.

Everything went up on the railway pool and I soon spotted a Peregrine but the damn thing was so quick all I got was this crappograph.I still have not got a decent Peregrine shot.

A Chiffchaff was calling out on the streamline but proved a swine to get a shot of.

On the way back to the car park I spotted the Wheatear seen by others earlier on the crop field.Tried to get some decent shots but failed.Mind you it was bit far off. This is all I managed but it was my first of the year.

A good day with some excellent images, Max. I think you have definitely been too early putting the winter gear away!
