A Blackcap pays a visit.

Had another go yesterday for the Jack Snipe at Marsh Lane but failed again.I think I'm the only regular there that has failed to see it this year.Although too distant for any shots I was pleased to see a Redshank,a Ringed Plover and a pair of Green Sandpipers on the islands.

Only a few minutes ago looking out on a gloomy and damp backgarden I spotted the  male Blackcap that sometimes visits.Managed a few shots in the gloom hanging out of a small top hung window.Always nice to see particularly as it's his first visit for a few weeks now.
