I've now raced down to Marsh Lane twice this week after receiving calls that a Wood Sandpiper was on the Railway pool but each time I missed it but I did talk to the chaps who found them. Not that that's any consolation.
To make matters worse each time I struggled to take many shots on both visits.I did spot the Cormorant choir practising but the lone audience did not seem too impressed.
I did notice a lot of gift giving by some of the Common Terns. It was not clear whether they had the desired affect.
Best of all by far was that at last this summer I managed some shots of a Sedge Warbler which for once was singing out high up in the reeds. That is till it spotted me and gave me a foul look.
