WINTER RETURNS TO MARSH LANE.

Went over to Marsh Lane again this morning to find that after the weekend's great weather winter had returned. It was very cold with an icy wind blowing into the hides.

Had a very brief glimpse of a male Blackcap along the causeway and managed my first shots this year.

The only shot I took from the oak hide was of this ringed BH Gull. There was nothing else interesting on show.

Too cold to stay any longer I had a quick look in the CP hide before I raced home for a hot coffee. It turned out to be a good move because there was a mini waderfest on the islands.I counted 2 Common Sandpipers 2 Ringed Plovers and 3 Little Ringed Plovers.Took a few shots but alas no keepers but very nice to see a few waders.
