WHITETHROATS

Went over to Marsh Lane again this morning getting there a 7.00 AM in order to beat the forecast rain which of course didn't arrive. It was sunny and pleasantly warm.

Saw nothing new from the hides except for the 1st and 2nd Summer Med Gulls from the oak hide which as usual were off in the distance. So I soon ended up in the RW hide to take on the Whitethroats again with the camera.

The Common Whitethroats are decent birds and are happy to come pretty close so you can get a decent shot.

The Lesser Whitethroats are miserable so and so's.They show regularly but are always distant and never stay still and they soon fly deep into the brambles.Did a bit better today but cannot get a keeper. The chicks will soon fledge so failure looms up.
