MORE WINTER THRUSHES IN THE GARDEN.

Early this morning I braved the deep snow in the back garden and put out a tray of food for the birds.Within a few minutes a couple of Blackbirds were enjoying what I'd put on the tray however a Fieldfare soon chased them off.

The Fieldfare must have been  the Winter Thrush equivalent of a black belt because for the next couple of hours it chased off all comers including more Blackbirds, other Fieldfares, a lone Redwing and a couple of Wood Pigeons and kept the food for itself.

Here are a few shots taken through the conservatory door.
