A GOLDCREST IN THE GARDEN.

On Sunday morning whilst checking out a couple of Fieldfares feeding in my back garden I noticed a Goldcrest that was in a conifer tree.I love Goldcrests so all thoughts of Fieldfares were dismissed and I grabbed the camera and raced downstairs to try for some shots.

I carefully opened the back door and stepped outside to try and get closer the tree which was about 10m away.Big mistake ! ! I was still in my slippers and I stepped into 50cms of slush.

After much heavy duty swearing and getting out of soaking wet slippers and socks I made do with taking some shots in bare feet inside the back door.

Got some decent shots considering the distance. It was bright though and that helps a lot.
