A MORNING AT MARSH LANE.

Went down to Marsh Lane this morning getting there at 9.30 AM in very nice spring weather.I was hoping at this time of year something decent had dropped in.

As usual there was good and bad news. The good was that present on site over and above the usual suspects during the morning were :-

3 Dunlin
2 Common Sandpipers
3 Little-ringed Plovers
1 possibly 2 Wheatears.

The bad news was that with the exception of the Common Sandpipers they were all a long way off. This is all I could get of the Dunlins.

One of the Common Sandpipers did play ball and came a little way up the bank in front of the CP hide.

Had a very hard match with a Willow Warbler along the causeway. It was a match that I lost quite badly because I ended up with loads of crappographs and very few decent shots.

There were loads of butterflies around including Peacocks,Orange-tips,a Comma and a Green-veined White which was the only one I could get a shot of.
