A COUPLE OF VISITS TO MARSH LANE.

Braved the cold this week a couple of times and visited Marsh Lane both times getting there at mid morning.

Didn't find the opportunity to use the camera much on the first visit but did get a shot of a Little Grebe just as it was swallowing lunch.

6T also paid a visit again and came quite close to the North causeway screen.

This morning the problem was not so much the cold but the early morning mist.A pair of Oystercatchers were doing their loud screeching dance on what was left of a RW pool island and a few Long-tailed Tits showed well on the causeway.

The marsh was flooded but a couple of Jack Snipe were seen one very close but well hidden in the grass and the second one was further away but also well hidden.

Witnessed what must have been an attempted murder in the marsh when one Coot tried to drown another.

Best spot of the week was a Dunlin from the Oak hide.It was lurking in the mist on one of the islands but the poor chap was continually being hounded by Lapwings and flew off after a while.
