MAX VERSES THE MARSH LANE CETTI'S

Woke up early this morning so I thought I'd go down to Marsh Lane again getting there at just after 7.30 AM. This time the plan was to go after the Cetti's Warbler which had been defeating me for several weeks now trying to get a decent shot.

Headed straight along the causeway to the bush it sometimes visits hoping it would show in the open. You have to be patient which is not my strong point because the circuit it makes can take a while.

There was as usual good and bad news. The good was that I didn't have to wait all that long for it to show up and appear in the open for a few seconds. The bad was the light was dreadful and a light rain was falling so to get a shot at all the ISO was very high. This makes the shots very grainy. The light did improve a lot later but my little friend didn't show again for me.

Here are my least grainy shots. No keepers I'm afraid but I have not given up yet.

Whilst waiting for the Cetti's to show again this chap landed in a nearby tree.It did not sing so I'm not sure if it's a Chiffie or Willow Warbler.
