Went to Marsh Lane early on Friday morning and found it quite foggy and very cold.
From the Oak hide I spotted our leader in the gloom attending to the pump that is draining the RW pool. Look how cold his hands have got.
Also from the Oak hide Big Whitey and a friend could just be seen in the fog.
At the end of the marsh 2 of the 4 Green Sandpipers at the reserve showed briefly.
It got a bit brighter later and Big Whitey showed much better.
A bit later on he was joined by 2 of the 6 + Little Egrets on site that morning.
